This is not a traditional security manager role. It is a high-impact system ownership role for a leader who can rebuild control, enforce standards through supervisors and team leaders, and reduce operational loss across a complex, high-risk environment.

As Security & Loss Control Manager you will own the security and loss-control system. Not by replacing operational teams or running field tasks yourself, but by ensuring SOPs are understood, applied, verified, and continuously improved.

You will establish, enforce, and sustain a structured security and loss-control system across operations, processing, loading, and distribution. Finance Manager, Selecta Wagagai Ltd (Entebbe, Uganda)

Selecta Wagagai Ltd is part of the Selecta Group. The Selecta Group is a leading global breeder, grower and marketer of innovative ornamental plants. Their breeding activities comprise bedding and balcony plants, house-plants, perennials and cut flowers. With their production sites and sales companies in Europe, Africa, Asia and America, they all relevant markets worldwide.

The Selecta Wagagai farm in Entebbe is one of the largest cuttings propagation farms in Africa. They mainly produce cuttings of begonias, chrysanthemums and poinsettias, but also many other varieties. The Selecta Wagagai has 40 hectares of green house and employs around 2.000 people. They are very well established in the region and operate an extensive social program based on the People, Planet Profit principles.

As Finance Manager you will lead the finance function and ensure compliance with local and international requirements. You will be responsible for all core finance activities including accounting, treasury, costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.

You will lead and mentor the Selecta Wagagai finance team and further implement best practices in modern finance management. Whilst directly reporting to the Managing Director, you also work closely with the group finance team.

Cultivation Manager, AQ Roses (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)

AQ Roses PLC operates large-scale greenhouse farms in Ethiopia (Ziway and Debre Zeit), producing premium roses and alstroemeria for international markets. The flowers are marketed through the Dutch sales company Rosa Plaza B.V., with headquarters in the Netherlands.

The farms operate with dedicated teams on site. Crop performance is monitored through scouting, laboratory analysis and digital monitoring systems to support practical cultivation decisions and continuous improvement of the crop. AQ Roses is looking for a Cultivation Manager who will take ownership of the technical growing strategy across both farms.

As Cultivation Manager you are responsible for the technical cultivation across both Ethiopian farms. The position is purely technical in nature and centers on plant health, growing conditions and agronomic performance.

You work closely with the Country Manager and senior production managers in Ethiopia and align with the management team in the Netherlands. A senior grower will retire in the coming period, allowing for a structured transition and knowledge transfer.

This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, analytical thinking and a systematic way of working.

ETG Sustainable Coffee in Uganda is leading operations from Namanve warehouse in Kampala, overseeing several processing and warehouse units in Uganda that process coffee and warehouse inputs. ETG’s responsible sourcing program for coffee has grown substantially over the past three years, currently covering over 20,000 farmers. Dedicated certified supply chains have been established, various donor and client projects have successfully kicked off and the first learnings have been gathered and processed. The Coffee Sustainability team in Uganda is well established and ready for expansion.

As Project Officer Agronomy you are responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring our Coffee Agronomy projects including innovative R&D projects such as Biochar. You will be closely working with our Field Officers – Agronomy who are based in our coffee sourcing areas. The role is Kampala based, but with frequent visits to our coffee sourcing areas to implement and monitor projects or conduct farmer training.

Group Head of Sustainability, Esco Uganda Ltd (Uganda)

Esco Uganda is a family-owned business active in sustainable trade of cocoa, vanilla and other products with smallholder farmers in Uganda. From a Christian worldview they believe in making a positive impact through working with smallholder farmers. This not only by creating a fair and sustainable cocoa and vanilla chain, but also by charitable giving to local communities.

They are very well-established in the market, with a history tracing back to 1956. Esco Uganda currently employs around 150 people and work with +/- 50.000 small holder farmers throughout the different commodities, providing them with quality inputs and training. The farmers are located in Uganda and DR Congo.
