Mart has been working in the recruitment industry for the past seven years. While living in Kenya, he spent five years focusing on the African continent. He also worked in the Africa department of a Dutch multinational, where he gained firsthand insight into the challenges his clients face. Through his personal approach and professional experience, he is able to build bridges between different cultures.
Recruiting in Africa can’t be done from behind a desk in Europe
Leopard Recruitment was born from my drive to connect people with opportunity, combined with a passion for the African continent. With a background in economics, I discovered that what energizes me is helping others build careers that inspire them. And where better to do that than in Africa – a continent full of talent and opportunity.
My journey in East Africa began with a holiday. I came back not just for the motorbike rides through the plains and savannas, but also for the ambition, possibilities and dynamic business landscape. That inspired me to start Leopard Recruitment.
Recruiting in Africa can’t be done effectively from behind a desk in Europe. Having lived in South Africa and now based in Kenya, I’ve built an understanding of the local context, cultures and the day-to-day challenges businesses face. This hands-on experience allows me to connect with clients and candidates on a level beyond the CV, and to offer practical and personal recruitment solutions.
