This is a confidential recruitment. Our client is a large-scale agriculture company based in the greater Kampala area.

The role

This is not a traditional security manager role. It is a high-impact system ownership role for a leader who can rebuild control, enforce standards through supervisors and team leaders, and reduce operational loss across a complex, high-risk environment.

You will own the security and loss-control system. Not by replacing operational teams or running field tasks yourself, but by ensuring SOPs are understood, applied, verified, and continuously improved.

You will establish, enforce, and sustain a structured security and loss-control system across operations, processing, loading, and distribution. Additionally, you will ensure that operational risks are controlled through SOPs, accountable teams, effective monitoring, and verified closure of issues.

Key responsibilities

Own the design, rollout, and enforcement of SOPs, ensuring compliance is verified and escalated when controls are bypassed
Lead control room effectiveness by setting staffing logic, monitoring standards, tracking discipline, and escalation of non-response
Drive CCTV performance through blind-spot mapping, improved camera coverage, and anti-evasion controls in critical zones
Enforce loading and distribution controls, including supervised truck sealing, seal logs, and chain-of-custody procedures
Ensure supervisors and team leaders execute SOPs and close assigned issues through their teams
Escalate threats, intimidation, and unsafe conditions that prevent staff from enforcing rules
Analyse loss patterns across location, timing, people, blind spots, and control failures to reduce repeat incidents

Candidate profile

You bring 10+ years of experience in security operations, loss control, or complex site security within high-risk environments
You have a background in the military, police, or as a senior private security operator
You demonstrate strong capability in SOP enforcement, operational discipline, loss prevention, investigations, and control room management
You are structured, credible, and calm under pressure, with the ability to operate effectively in remote or high-risk environments
You lead in a firm and structured way, working through supervisors and team leaders rather than bypassing them
