Our client

AQ Roses PLC operates large-scale greenhouse farms in Ethiopia (Ziway and Debre Zeit), producing premium roses and alstroemeria for international markets. The flowers are marketed through the Dutch sales company Rosa Plaza B.V., with headquarters in the Netherlands.

The farms operate with dedicated teams on site. Crop performance is monitored through scouting, laboratory analysis and digital monitoring systems to support practical cultivation decisions and continuous improvement of the crop. AQ Roses is looking for a Cultivation Manager who will take ownership of the technical growing strategy across both farms.

The role

As Cultivation Manager you are responsible for the technical cultivation across both Ethiopian farms. The position is purely technical in nature and centers on plant health, growing conditions and agronomic performance.

You work closely with the Country Manager and senior production managers  in Ethiopia and align with the management team in the Netherlands. A senior grower will retire in the coming period, allowing for a structured transition and knowledge transfer.

This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, analytical thinking and a systematic way of working.

Location: Ethiopia

Sector: Floriculture

Candidate profile

We are looking for a technically strong cultivation professional with a proven track record in greenhouse growing and agronomy. You combine hands-on crop expertise with a structured and analytical way of working.

You take ownership and proactively identify improvements. You work systematically rather than reactively and use data to support decisions and improve predictability. You are comfortable working in a remote production environment and understand the realities of large-scale horticultural operations.
